I'd like to start with one lady i consider to be the 'queen of the blues'... the first i heard her was off this track in a martin scorcese's 'history of the blues' collection (yes, wht he had to do wit the blues or music ..no idea.. but i have to say he came up with an awesome collection (so what if he is the 'gangsta film' master and on his fifth wife))...
The song was "I'm in the Mood (for love)", Bonnie Raitt sang with with none other than "godfather" John Lee Hooker (i call him the one chord man..!).. chek this...
The truth is (and u can sue me for this...) this first time i heard this i could swear she was an Afro-American lady... [Call me racist but .. i haven't evr heard a caucasian with that much soul]...
try this ... google "blues singers women" and this is the first pic u get...

Can't blame me .. can you ? Any who.. i let bonnie be my first post... coz of her soul, her rank 4 in the VH1's 100 Greatest Women in Rock & Roll (i felt she cud hv been put higher..), her awesomeness on the slide guitar, her 'anti-bush' stand and simply coz i find her pretty hot for a 60yr old....
